August: Find the Joy, Share the Joy
Hi and how are you doing?
This is your reading for the month of August 2025. It’s time to find the joy and share the joy publicly. And I couldn’t think of a better time to feel this than during Leo season.
Lifestyle: Listen to Your Body
Vegetables at the Farmers Market
I love carbs. and over the past seven weeks, I have eaten any and everything I wanted. This isn’t a flex on anyone who can’t live this way; it is merely an acknowledgment as to the quality of food that is available to me in Asia versus America. Being home, only a couple of days now, grain feels very different in my belly and I have to take the time to understand that food is not processed or prepared the same way in all places. this is the time to learn how to garden, to prepare your own harvest. I will be working to grow my own herbs and eat as organically as I can on a budget. I have made a vow to myself to shop Asian ethnic markets, as the food and process agrees better with my health and digestion. Are you noticing any things about yourself that don’t feel good to your body? If so, now is the time to take action and find out what’s going on. Everyone doesn’t have a food allergy, sometimes we are just allergic to the chemicals that oshitur bodies ingest due to where and what we eat. Do you have favorite places to shop for health and well being? If not, here are five places people can shop locally to eat healthier (and even organic) on a budget, along with why each option works:
1. Farmers Market
Offers seasonal, locally-grown produce—often fresher and cheaper than grocery stores.
Many farmers use organic or low-spray practices even if they’re not certified.
You can talk directly to growers, build relationships, and sometimes negotiate deals (especially at closing time).
2. Local Food Co-ops (Cooperatives)
Community-owned stores that often prioritize organic, bulk, and ethically-sourced items.
Members usually get discounts or access to lower prices.
Bulk sections let you buy just what you need, which reduces waste and saves money.
3. Ethnic Markets (Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin, African, etc.)
Great for fresh produce, grains, legumes, and spices at significantly lower prices.
Many traditional ingredients are naturally healthy and nutrient-dense.
You’ll find affordable alternatives to trendy health foods (like fresh ginger, lentils, leafy greens, and turmeric).
4. Discount Grocery Stores (like Aldi, Grocery Outlet, or Lidl)
Offer organic and health-conscious food lines at budget prices.
Great for pantry staples, frozen produce, and healthy snacks.
Many now carry store-brand organic items at a fraction of regular retail cost.
5. CSA Programs (Community Supported Agriculture)
You buy a “share” of a local farm’s harvest, getting fresh produce (sometimes meat, eggs, or dairy) weekly or biweekly.
Often cheaper than store prices over time, and you support local farmers.
Many programs now offer payment plans, SNAP/EBT discounts, or low-cost pickup options.
Intuition: Find the Joy, Share the Joy

Song of the Month: Unstoppable by Sia. Play it when you need a reminder of the badass you are.
You already know, but let me remind you, that the rejection you faced worked in your favor. That rejection helped you focus on creation. You healed from the grief, the guilt, and the feeling of being stuck. And let me tell you, it was a complete and total miracle. Rejected you were, but a gift you are.
You had to work on your strength. You had to create through focusing and acknowledging your trauma and pain. But guess what? You still found joy. You turned that grief into knowledge, spiritual knowledge. That guilt? You secretly transmuted. Your need to hermit or disappear turned into self-love. And now, you are ready to show up and share.
You are a walking miracle. The fact that you were able to keep going, even in your impatience, is extraordinary. And you are grateful, for the people who stood by your side when you were stuck. It’s bittersweet, though, because you couldn’t take everyone with you. Not everyone was truly there for you.
August is the month to share your miracle—to share what was blocking you. And what was blocking you had a lot to do with simply keeping going, even though devilish energy was all around you, obsessed with tying you down and binding you to trauma, drama, negativity, and darkness.
You understood that people were impatient about your abundance, and because of that, some tried to take what was yours or leave you in lack. But you are grateful for the ones who didn’t leave you out in the cold when others did. In public, some people thought you were just being lazy, but in reality, you were walking away from the bullshit.
And yes, it’s bittersweet. Because now you’re receiving your blessings, and people are watching.
You are accepting that you are no longer willing to give more of yourself than you have, or want, to offer. You’re focused on your passion and expansion. Those who didn’t appreciate the joy, the gift that is you... well, that realization is helping you complete a cycle and grow. People see you differently now. You’ve broken through. You’ve released. The stone-coldness of your boundaries this month has softened, not because you’re weak, but because you’re open.
You’ve accepted that you allowed yourself to be blocked. You found your passion in the darkest of places. You learned who to work with, who to trust, and how to share. You’ve expanded from a lack mentality to an abundant one. You’ve provided forgiveness for those who mishandled your gifts, your love, your support, and in doing so, you’re completing a cycle.
You’re ready to manifest the new. It was slow, but it was steady.
People’s perception of you is shifting because your perception of you has shifted. You now see yourself as stable. You now see yourself as abundant. You now see yourself as nurturing. You now understand that you are protected, from people who only wanted to cause you chaos.
And that protection allows you to feel joy. Real joy. Shareable joy. Because you know now that it’s safe to share it, and more importantly, it’s needed. The world needs to hear it. The world needs you.
You are confident. You are very much a lion. And so I say, this is the perfect season, Leo season, for you, my beautiful lambs, to stand up and roar.
Travel: Jetlag Sucks
Maya Lynne walking in water in Kuta, Bali
I have only been back from Asia for a couple of days and let me tell you, there is nothing I want to get over faster than jet lag. Here re five go-tos I use to alleviate jet lag quicker:
1. Hydrate Like It’s Your Job
Jet lag and dehydration go hand-in-hand. I double my water intake the first 48 hours, adding electrolytes or a splash of fresh lemon juice to help rebalance.
2. Get Natural Light ASAP
I try to get outside as early as possible to reset my circadian rhythm. A 15-30 minute walk in sunlight (without sunglasses if you can) helps your body adjust faster to the new time zone.
3. Eat Clean & Light
Your digestive system gets confused too. I stick to whole foods, lots of greens, and minimal sugar or caffeine. If you’re looking to shop local and eat healthy, here are five places to start:
Farmers Markets: Fresh, seasonal, often cheaper than stores.
Local Co-ops: Affordable organics and bulk items.
Ethnic Markets: Great prices on fresh produce and spices.
Discount Grocery Stores: Many carry low-cost organic items now.
CSA Programs: Weekly farm boxes that support local growers.
4. Move Your Body (Gently)
Even if I’m exhausted, a bit of movement helps—stretching, yoga, a walk, or light dancing in the house. Movement clears mental fog and gets the blood flowing without overstimulating.
5. Sleep in Waves, Not Marathons
I avoid the temptation to sleep 10 hours straight. Instead, I listen to my body, take strategic naps, and go to bed close to the local bedtime. Consistency helps me adjust within 2–3 days.
Jet lag doesn’t stand a chance when I commit to these rituals. And when paired with healthy food and mindfulness, I feel like myself again faster; centered, clear, and back in flow.
I hope these tips, tricks and thoughts help you stand tall and feel empowered this Leo season. People are open to hearing what you have to say, even if they’re not ready for the message. (Be prepared.)
And as always, sending light and love,
Maya Lynne
